January 2020 is here in full swing and time just flying by. We didn't even realize that Your Smith's show was coming up so soon, and ended up buying tickets just hours before the show sold out day of.
Wow. The entire night was what a perfect LA night would be. Her opener Chelsea Jade's angular and sudden dance moves started off our night grooving to the strong beats. After Chelsea's gig, Your Smith popped on stage, opening with Man of Weakness, and her presence was mellow yet moving. She was soft spoken and her vocals were dreamy. Your Smith gave off major queer vibes and it was reflected in the audience as well. As a fellow gay gal, it was a subtle, calming, home-y, awesome show I've been to in a while. Reminds me of a mix between all the best indie female singers rolled into one.
