3/7 - Ripe riffs fuel groovy dance party

With our largest showing yet for #YourConcertKure, totaling seventeen people, and the perfect lineup, the historic Troubadour was a great place to be on March 7th, 2019.

The Brook & The Bluff opened up the show with the kind of heartfelt and yearning performance that they have become known for. The combination of soulful vocal harmonies and groovy instrumental backings offered the #YourConcertKure attendees a breath of fresh, soul-nurturing air. No doubt they will be back to LA soon, headlining their own shows.

Next was Ripe. The seven piece "musical soulmates," as their Spotify description calls them, came out guns a blazing with their characteristic genre-defying dance music. The frontman reminded the crowd that energy at a show is a two way street: as long as Ripe feels energy in the crowd, they'll give it right back through their performance. The crowd took it to heart and did not disappoint. Concert goers invested with clapping, jumping, hooting and hollering, all while Ripe put on a spectacular performance. This concert was a perfect example of what makes live performances so much better than pre-recorded in-studio tunes. The environment in the Troub amplified all the best parts of the music while promoting a feeling of unity between all the Angelenos present who share a passion for good music.
